What do whimsical still lifes—featuring cakes, cats, skeletons, birds, and fish—and playful snowpeople have in common? They’re both part of the imaginative world of local artist Peter Paone, whose work is currently on view in two concurrent exhibitions at two regional museums: the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown and the Woodmere Art Museum in Philadelphia.
Join Laura Igoe, Gerry and Marguerite Lenfest Chief Curator at the Michener, and Amy Gilette, Associate Curator at Woodmere, for a special virtual program as they compare these two unique exhibitions. Together, they’ll explore Paone’s surreal compositions, thematic connections, and the curatorial choices that bring his work to life in two distinct settings.
