Adult Programs

Experience art in a unique way. Adult Programs provide an opportunity to see the art and exhibitions in a new light.

Artistic Excursions

Book Club

"Beyond Words" is the Michener’s book club where we discuss a book selection inspired by art, artists, and/or the artistic process in response to the Museum’s collections or special exhibits. What better place to combine books and art than our museum, aptly named after writer and museum benefactor James A. Michener?

Family Art Workshop

Looking for something fun to do before school starts? Bring your family for a fun end-of-summer art-making experience! With a little paint, water, and chalk, create colorful floating chalk prints inspired by impressionist painting.

Gallery Talks

Gallery Talks provide the guest with the opportunity to hear from different voices at the museum and view the pieces from a new perspective. The smaller group provides a more personal way to learn about our exhibitions and collection.

Jazz Night

At Jazz Night, guests will be treated to an evening of art, captivating music and light refreshments in the Museum’s elegant Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion. Refreshments and Museum admission are included in ticket price.
