The award-winning Resident Artists of Philadelphia’s world-renowned Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) returns to the Museum for a spectacular afternoon of opera and song. This concert will feature classical and near-classical repertoire by international talent with a program to include selections from opera, operetta, and classic Broadway.
The Academy of Vocal Arts is widely considered the premiere training program for young opera singers and is completely tuition-free – supported by annual contributions, ticket sales and endowment. AVA alumni are featured on the stages of the world’s great opera houses every season – from the Academy of Music to Covent Garden, from the Metropolitan Opera to La Scala, including many who have starred in the Metropolitan Opera HD live movies. This 90-minute concert will have one intermission.
An Afternoon of Opera and Song is generously sponsored by Barbara Donnelly Bentivoglio in memory of Dr. Lamberto Bentivoglio.
