WEDNESDAY STAINED GLASS

Ages 13*-Adult

December 2, 9, & 16

10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

$280 Member / $305 Non-Member

Sessions: 3

Instructor: Andrea Thompson and Michener Adjunct Staff

Learn to create original patterns for stained glass projects during this 3-week workshop. Work with colored and textured glass in the copper-foil method to complete your design. Use glass cutters and grinders to shape and smooth individual glass pieces. Solder colored glass pieces together to create unique window and wall hangings.

This class is a good fit for students who enjoy developing skills using hand and power tools and have attention to detail and an interest in craftsmanship.

Students who have taken stained glass classes with us in previous seasons will be inspired by new challenges in this class.

  • All materials are included, but some students may wish to purchase additional materials.
  • Students must wear long pants, closed-toed shoes, and have long hair pulled back. Additional information will be shared with students closer to the start date.
  • Safety glass/goggles/face shields are mandatory during most class time, and some students wish to purchase their own. Standard prescription eyewear is not an acceptable replacement.
  • There is a lunch break during each session. Students should bring lunch and drinks.
  • Some projects may have to be cleaned and polished after the last class. Students will be asked to return to pick up their projects at a later date.

For more information, contact Andrea Thompson at [email protected] or 215.340.9800 x115
