Discover Art classes will help children enhance their drawing and painting abilities, develop new talents, inspire confidence and creativity, encourage the production of unique works of art, and provide opportunities to explore a variety of art materials. Students visit Michener galleries and sculpture garden as inspiration for their own art making, and they work from photographs, observation, and imagination. Students will use pencil, oil and chalk pastel, acrylic, tempera, and watercolor paints in this class. Student artwork is exhibited in the Art in Bloom Education Gallery exhibition in April 2025. Projects do not repeat, and many students enjoy taking this class in the fall, winter, and spring for consecutive years.
